2012 World Music Shanghai to Kick Off
28th April to 5th May 2012: China’s largest world music festival, World Music Shanghai 2012, will be held across five main locations in Shanghai: Red Town, Xintiandi, Life Hub @Jinqiao, Life Hub @Anting and Xuhui Greenfield. Growing in scale every year, 2012 marks the 5th anniversary for World Music Shanghai hosted by Shanghai International Culture Association, Publicity Office of Changning District, Changning Wenhuiju and SMG Arts and Culture Channel . This year World Music Shanghai is co-supported by Shanghai Jingshen Wenming Office and Chinese Communist Youth League Shanghai Committee. A new concept for 2012, World Music Shanghai is presenting a tour of live music. Each of the nine groups will perform in all four locations, enabling their music to emanate to every corner of the city.
